Welcome !
« Re-engagement of vulnerable adults with Europe » is a project led by six European associations who share the same ambition: enable vulnerable adults to find their way back to education or to work. The project was thought to benefit to a category of people who need the skills, knowledge and support of all the six associations. The partners will work together for two years, during which they will gather their expertise to provide the most adapted answers to vulnerable adults.

History
“Re-Engagement of vulnerable adults with Europe”, more frequently called the “Re-Engage Project”, was created in July 2012, during a seminar organised by Ecorys, the UK LLP agency, named Back to Learning Back to Work. The aim of this seminar was, among others, to show how various European organisations work with 'harder reach adults' and act in order to bring them back to learning and/or working. The organisations met during the seminar and discovered they had various fields of expertise, with issues they share, some they don't. Regarding the issues they don't share, some answers developed by some partners could be used by others. For the issues they have in common, an exchange of practice could be an opportunity to foster innovation and develop new ideas. |
Objectives
The main objective is to find new ways to address “harder to reach adults”. Thus, an important exchange process will be set up between the partners to define the characteristics of people entering this category, identify the needs of the professionals in that field, and establish case study stories of reengagement interventions. It will help to review motivational success criteria in order to have an efficient approach. As we need to be perfectly aware about the current state of the labour market and educational system, a methodology will be created to assess the situation. |
All along of the project, the partners will disseminate information about the results of their researches: they will actively work on the creation of a “best practice guide” to successful interventions, and share their teaching methods. The objective of this communication is to improve the adult learning process through the spread of knowledge, and to encourage the initiation of further project partnerships based on creating tools and training materials. The goal we share between the “Re-engage project” partners is to motivate adults to build a professional or educational project, through e-learning for instance, and to involve them back to education or work. |
